“A beloved resident passed away after living at the building for four years. She was truly loved by residents, staff, and even other family members of residents. Having been a greenhouse owner for 40 years, she understood the principle of sowing and reaping. She sowed love, caring, and joy into everyone she knew. She reaped a bounty of love from all of us.
“She died at age 97, and she made an enormous impact on all of us. Her son said that because of all the staff and chaplains, her last four years were some of the best in her life. I had the honor of conducting her funeral at the funeral home, and my chaplain teammate conducted a simultaneous service for the residents in the facility. So many people were eager to honor her memory. May we all live our lives in such a way that we bless people until our last breath.”
